Auto Retailers & Insurance Teacher Discounts
Teachers who do their research can uncover a host of vehicle offers at a variety of dealerships. Various insurance companies have created specific programs geared toward educators who drive school vehicles.
Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Ram — Employees and spouses of employees at participating colleges or universities are eligible for discounts through the Chrysler Affiliate Rewards Program
Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercury, Volvo — school, college, and university employees enrolled in Ford’s Partner Recognition Program (X-Plan) may be eligible to purchase a Ford and other Ford Company brands at dealer price, in addition to applicable rebates, discounts, and manufacturer incentives.
Geico — Members of nationwide educational organizations can receive a variety of discounts
General Motors (GMC, Buick, Chevrolet, Cadillac) — Current employees or public or private universities or colleges can receive up to $1,500 off their purchase or lease on a 2020 or newer vehicle or newer (offer expires 1/3/22)
Liberty Mutual — Teachers are eligible for discounted savings that may include vandalism loss protection ($0 deductible if your vehicle is vandalized on school property or during school-related events), personal property coverage (up to $2,500 coverage per occurrence if your teaching materials or school-owned property is stolen or damaged while in your vehicle, and collision coverage ($0 deductible if your vehicle is damaged in a collision while you are driving on school business)
Volvo — Current educators are eligible to receive $1,000 off a purchase or $500 off a lease

While many teachers receive an annual stipend for school supplies, it is too often hardly enough to sustain a year’s worth of classroom needs. It can be particularly challenging to build a substantial classroom library without the help of online fundraising and discounted book stores.
