Included in this product are Group Discussion Activities for the novel The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton which are focused on Character Analysis.
This lesson contains two graphic organizers meant for collaborative learning. Students will assign superlatives to characters from The Outsiders as well as write synectic summaries by comparing main characters from the story to regular household items.
These activities are both fun exercises that help students analyze character motivations, character development, and how characters’ actions propel the plot. Answer keys are provided although students’ answers will all vary.
