Description
Included in this product is a Powerpoint presentation comprised of 200 Bell Ringers for Middle School ELA (7th or 8th grade). These 200 questions will provide you with more than enough bell ringers to last the full school year teaching English.
Bell ringers, also known as warm-ups or do nows, are the perfect teaching strategy to establish routine! Students sit in their seats right away to work on their daily warm-up question. These prompts are an excellent way to review important ELA skills, but it’s also a great tool for test prep! You can skip around categories/slides to fit the needs of your students and your curriculum.
The bell ringers are divided into categories:

- Figurative Language
(To include: allusion, personification, pun, euphemism, hyperbole, verbal irony, dramatic irony, situational irony, simile, oxymoron, idiom, personification, juxtaposition, metaphor, and paradox)

I personally use this for my 8th grade students to help prepare them for the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA).
