Description
This activity requires students to read and analyze the 1824 song “O Christmas Tree” and learn about the ode poem. Then you’ll have your students write their own ode! Lastly, take students’ poetry writing to the next level by having them perform or illustrate their odes. This activity is a simple and silly way to get students thinking creatively before the holidays. It also makes for a fun display of student work!
